We continue to host prospective students from Istanbul's leading high schools on our campus with “Social Sciences 101”, organized for the first time this year as part of TercihFest. In Social Sciences 101, which aims to introduce the rich world of social sciences to high school students more closely and to give candidates a one-day university experience, academics and prospective students come together in workshops and demo courses.
In this context, our School of Law faculty member Assoc. Prof. Ömer Faruk Erol met with prospective students at the event, which started with the Law program on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Assoc. Erol held a demo lesson with 84 prospective students studying at Istanbul Üsküdar High School, Governor Muammer Güler Social Sciences High School, Tenzile Erdoğan Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, International Kaptan Ahmet Erdoğan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and Güngören Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
After the demo lesson, high school students resolved the hypothetical case prepared in the virtual court simulation together with our Faculty of Law students.
Social Sciences 101 activities will continue throughout the education and training season with the contributions of different academicians of our university and the participation of candidate students.
