The opening prayer of the center, the foundation of which was laid on June 6, 2022, was made by Başakşehir’s Mufti Abdurrahman Şenoğlu, while the names participating in the ceremony expressed their wishes that the building, which has recently joined our university, will be beneficial and innovative for the administrative and academic staff, especially for the students.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. İrfan Gündüz mentioned that the Student Center incorporates all kinds of needs such as art centers and social activity areas where our students can stand on their own feet and develop their careers.
Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who made his speech at the ceremony, mentioned that Ibn Haldun University was included in the excitement of the first day of the new academic year, while mentioning that we are a University that has planned its growth capacity within itself, far beyond what is seen from the outside. While stating that the university is not just about classrooms, students need different social and artistic activity environments such as the opportunities offered in the Student Center, he ended his speech by expressing his happiness to be present at the opening of a center that will enrich students' academic lives.
Shaped according to the needs of students, academics and staff, the Student Center addresses all kinds of on-campus needs from the cinema hall to the dining hall, from the marbling workshop to the supermarket.
The building, which was designed by staying faithful to the campus texture inspired by the classical architecture of the university, has all the necessary technical infrastructure and equipment according to the purpose of use, while everything has been considered for a comfortable atmosphere.
Ibn Haldun University Student Center offers students the opportunity to socialize and have fun within the boundaries of the campus where they study. Undergraduate and graduate students will be able to relieve the stress of the day in the lounges or game room specially prepared for them, develop their creativity in the ceramics workshop, and read the book they purchased from the Book and Technology Market while sipping their tea in the café within the Student Center.
